Membership
Membership of Arius is open both to organisations and to individuals who share the aims of the Association.
Organisational members and Individual members are admitted simply by completion of an application form, followed by review and approval. There is no membership fee. Application forms can be obtained by contacting us. (see contacts).
The resources needed to maintain the Arius secretariat are derived from overhead charges on project work carried out for national or international funders.

Organisations that have been Arius Members
The inaugural organisational members of Arius when it was founded in the year 2002 were:
- Belgium ONDRAF-NIRAS Waste Agency
- Bulgaria Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant
- Hungary PURAM Waste Agency
- Italy ENEA National Agency
- Japan Obayashi Corporation
- Switzerland Colenco Power Engineering
New Members that have joined in the years since Arius was established include:
- Netherlands COVRA Waste Agency
- Slovenia ARAO Waste Agency
Since the time of foundation, some countries have had to leave or suspend their Membership; in most cases as a result of national strategic developments, or due to budget restrictions. However, the establishment of the ERDO-WG in 2010, with Arius as the secretariat, has been supported by a wider range of European countries including:

- Denmark Danish Decommissioning
- Ireland Department of the Environment Heritage and Local Government
- Lithuania RATA
- Poland Ministry of Economy
- Romania ANDRAD
- Slovakia Decom
Discussions with a number of further potential Member Organisations are underway.
